A. CALCULATE WEIGHT OF AN ITEM
Unlike eBay or Amazon, Taobao's shipment is based on item's actual weight or volume (parcel size), which ever previals will be used as the weight.
B. SEA/FREIGHT SHIPMENT (21-30 DAYS)
Calculation will be based on above volume metrics.
- First 0.3M3 = RM152 (East Malaysia) , RM220(West Malaysia)
- Addional 0.1M3 = Additonal RM42
- 1M3 = RM420 ( Easy malaysia), RM700 (West Malaysia)
- 1M3 = length(CM) x width(CM) x height(CM) /1000,000
Or
- 1st kg = RM22
- 2-50KG= RM6.9/KG

- As from above, we learnt that the greater of the two above is the billable weight and should be used to calculate the rate.
- If actual weight is heavier, we used the actual weight to calculate the rate.
- If dimension weight is larger, we will use the dimension weight to calculte the rate.
- As an industry standard, we round each measurement to the next whole number.
Example:
1. Parcel is 0.2KG, it is rounded up to 1KG
2. Parcel is 0.7KG, it is rounded up to 1KG
3. Parcel is 1.4KG, it is rounded up to 2KG
4. Parcel is 1.9KG, it is rounded up to 2KG
5. Parcel is 9.1KG, it is rounded up to 10KG
and so on..
E. WHAT ARE SENSITIVE PRODUCTS?
Customs will charge RM17 on sensitive products. Below is a list of sensitive items:
- Liquid ( eg. perfume/ skincare)
- Foods (all edible products)
- Cosmetics/ Branded products
- Counterfeit product
- Electronics item
- Cutter item/ Knife tool
- Battery subtance/ Magnet subtance
- Medicine subtance/ Powder substance
- Candle/ CD/ DVD
- Sex Item/ Food/ Fragrance essence (eg. Soap)
- Tablet/Laptop/HP + RM10
- Radio Signal Transmiting Device
